Tattvanveshi Philosophical Society
Who we are
Tattvanveshi Philosophical Society is non-profit society registered under the Society Registration Act1860 (Registration no: MAHA/162/2022).
The society started from an informal weekly meeting that Prof. Ranjan Kumar Panda had with his students. In the beginning these meetings served as an exchange of ideas among the different students of Prof. Panda working in different fields of Philosophy. With time, the meetings started taking a more definite shapes with pre-decided topics and discussions centred around the latest developments in Philosophy.
The decisive moment in the society’s meetings came when Prof. Ramesh Chandra Pradhan (former Professor of Philosophy, University of Hyderabad) joined in one of the meetings. Based on his suggestion, the society moved on to organising webinars through its online platform named Forum For Philosophy. Starting from the COVID-19 lockdown, the society has organised lecture series on different topics ranging from Indian Philosophy as well as Western Philosophy.
